............................................................................................................................................................................... There’s an interior part in my house painted with sand paint. I would like to know sand texture paint can be removed.
Remove all the sand texture paint which not adhered. Clean dust and oils. Apply one coat of Aqua Primer so as to promote adhesion of the whole scheme below. Spread Alltek Extra fine to all of the walls with. After drying out, apply a coat of Cinolite HP Primer. Finally, paint with one of the Vinylmatt, Vinylsoft or Vinylsilk paints according to the type of luster you want to get. If there’s a wall you want to paint with a dark colour, we recommend you to use Cashmere.
............................................................................................................................................................................... Can the kitchen or the Bathroom tiles be painted?
Yes, they can. The painting scheme for tiles, recommended by SITA is the following:
- Degrease the tiles carefully, washing them with mild water and neutral detergent, like dish-washer;
- Then rinse with clean water;
- Fill the joints with Hantek to hide them;
- Apply one coat of Aqua Primer to regulate the absorption and promote the adhesion of paint;
-Apply two to three of Cinacryl finish coats, in the colour and luster of your choice. ............................................................................................................................................................................... I scraped a stain on a wall causing some paint to be removed. What should I do?
Such situation can occur due to several factors. First, the paint may have little resistance; second, the cleaning product can be abrasive; and third, the cleaning of the stain may have been made when the paint was not completely dry. If your walls are subject to dirt, choose high-resistance paint with some brightness. See the Wall Cleaning Brochure for further information on how to clean the walls properly. ............................................................................................................................................................................... The ceiling of my living room has tobacco smoke stains. What should I do?
Make sure that the ceiling and the walls are completely dry. Brush the entire surface and apply Aqua Primer before applying the finish paint.
............................................................................................................................................................................... There was a small accident in my kitchen and the ceiling was stained with the fire smoke. What should I do?
Make sure the ceiling and the walls are completely dry. Brush the entire surface and apply Aqua Primer before applying the finish paint.
............................................................................................................................................................................... I’ve noticed some black spots on my kitchen walls; I think they are wall fungus. What should I do?
Wall fungus develops inside a wall due to the presence of high levels of humidity and to condensation phenomena. In order to eliminate them, you should use a solution of bleach and water. The disinfection with Concentrated Antifungal is more effective. Cleaning and disinfection should not be limited only to the infected area, but applied to the whole surface. See Anti-Fungus, Algae and Humidity Solutions Brochure for further information. ............................................................................................................................................................................... Saltpetre began to appear on the walls. What should I do?
The emergence and efflorescence of saltpetre is directly linked to high levels of humidity in the surface. It appears whenever the salts in the surface migrate, transported by the flow of humidity, and it crystallizes on the surface edge, after water evaporation. The pressure exerted by the crystallization on the area of contact surface / paint lead to the destruction of the film of paint. Painting should only be done when the salts disappear. Apply Cinolite Sealer and paint with a permeable matte paint with water vapour.
............................................................................................................................................................................... My son drew on the corridor walls. I’ve washed them several times but the drawings are still there. What should I do?
If your walls are subject to dirt, choose high-resistance paint with some brightness because it’s washable. See the Wall Cleaning Brochure for further information on how to clean the walls properly.
Eve so, there are drawings that are very difficult to remove. In such cases, you should apply a coat of stain sealing primer and a coat of finish paint.
............................................................................................................................................................................... I painted one of my walls with a different colour and it’s not well covered with pain. Shall I apply another coat?
Yes. I remind you that there are 3 factors you should consider when you’re going to paint a room: the dilution of the paint, that is, the amount of water that is added, the observation of pauses between the application of different coats, and, finally, that there are certain colours with low covering capacity, a fact that you can be aware of by using the Colormix 3G system, which refers to paints capacity as far as surfaces covering is concerned. ............................................................................................................................................................................... There are bubbles on my living room wall, next to the window. What should I do?
Usually, humidity on the walls lifts the paint film with formation of bubbles. You should try to identify the origin of the humidity (check isolation of windows, fissures, etc.), fix them, and repaint with a paint matte, permeable with water vapour. ............................................................................................................................................................................... I painted a wall in my house and shortly after I noticed that the paint had wrinkles. What should I do?
The application of the paint wasn’t certainly the right one, thus causing the wrinkles. What happens is that there is a very fast superficial drying of a thick layer of paint that forms a film the thickness of which does not allow deep drying. Once the entire surface is hard, sand it smooth and flat with sand paper. Rinse it with clean water and, after drying, repaint the entire surface.

............................................................................................................................................................................... I found humidity stains on the ceiling. What should I do?
The stains are caused by water infiltration of water in the surface. Therefore, it’s important to identify and correct the problem that causes the infiltration. When the surface is completely dry, you should brush the entire surface and apply Aqua Primer before applying the finish paint.
